What is Stripe Connect?

Stripe Connect is how CHEQout routes card payments from your buyer to your bank account. When a buyer pays by card, the money flows buyer → Stripe → your bank, all in one transaction. Stripe is the payment processor. Connect is the version of Stripe that lets a platform like CHEQout pay many vendors.

Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction. That fee is added to the buyer's total at checkout — you net the price you set. Stripe Connect itself is free.

When you need it

Only if you want to accept card payments. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and Cash App all work without Stripe.
